It's official....

In less than 24 hours I'm leaving on jet plane for NYC.

Have I started packing??....nope. That's what tonight is for because last night I spent the evening with 3 of my favorite men! Darryl Hall, John Oates, and my Daddy!!!!

I think the only thing I would redo about last night is the tickets. I wish I hadn't cheaped out on balcony seats and just paid for floor seats! Oh time...I hope!

I wish I was kidding when I say this but about half way though Sara's Smile I started crying. Growing up my Dad sang that song to me and obviously I thought it was about me. The 4.5 minutes they sang Sara's Smile is one of my favorite memories to date. It doesn't get much better than having your Daddy's arm around you while Hall and Oates sings your song. I'm tearing up again just thinking about it...ha!

I also wish I had better pictures of the night but unfortunately there was a no flash policy. However, I did record a few songs that I won't be sharing on the interent. That just seems way more illegal to me than recording them to begin with...oops.

Ok, soooo NYC tomorrow morning! I hope my weekend in the Big Apple doesn't go by as fast as this week has!!

Weekend Update...

What a weekend!!! I am so tired today but it was so worth it. I love this time of year with all the Christmas parties and celebrating the season. I just wish it didn't go by so fast!

Friday night my kickball league had our end of season cocktail party.

Saturday afternoon was spent getting ready for the Ugly sweater Christmas party !

love this picture.... :)

It turns out I'm not very good at cookie decorating but it was soo much fun to try!

Jason and his "special" cookie! This guy eats old bay on EVERYTHING so we put some on a cookie for him and he ate the whole thing.

chocolate covered mint oreos!

I make these chocolate covered pretzels every year as Christmas gifts. They are so easy to make and they're delicious!

These treats are called "lumps of coal" aka oreo rice krispy treats aka my new favorite desert! Instead of using rice krispy cereal you use chopped up oreo pieces with the marshmallow and butter.

All of these Christmas sweaters are courtesy of my Mom :) I'm really glad she's held on to these beauties since the 90's!

There ended up being about 50 people at the party! As Sean would say it was epic. :)

I can't believe this week is already here. Hall and Oates with my Daddy on Wednesday and NYC on Friday. So much to look foward to!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!!

Confession Fridays...

As soon as I opened my eyes this morning I realized that my place of employment had blocked Polyvore so linking up with Friday Fancies is not an option for me today....sadness. I will have to just plan ahead for next week!

In place of my usually Friday link up I thought I would link up with Leslie at A Blonde Ambition for her new Confess Sesh Friday.

1. I confess that I should be working right now instead of blogging because I'm only working a half day.

2. I confess that since my leg has been jacked up I have not worked out like I use to and have gained 10lbs...this needs to be resolved soon! I have to many cute clothes to not feel comfortable in them.

3. I also confess that sometimes Pinterest funnies hit a little to close to home.

For example:

4. I confess that on Wednesday I did a little happy dance at my desk at work when I realized I could check the 10 day forecast for NYC on the Weather Channel's website.

On that note...SNOW....really NYC?! I don't mind cold but give a girl some sunshine. Every single time I've been to visit you it has snowed! Even that one time in March! Regardless I will be there a week from now and I will be happy no matter what.

5. I confess that I love Hall and Oates like most girls love much younger and cooler artists.

How can you not LOVE that stache?!? kidding. Seriously though I think I was born in the wrong decade!
